Question about Xanax?

Once in high school I took some Xanax. I really didn't feel anything. I have social anxiety disorder. Does this mean I need it?

I was on Klonopin for anxiety/panic disorder...when it quit working I got Xanax and it works for me. You need to see a Doctor and have your own RX because your body will get used to it...and psycially you can go through hellish withdrawls if you've taken it a while. And, other people can put something else in a bottle that says one thing..but it's another...So see a Doc and I'm sure it will help you. Good Luck..it's a difficult condition.....

ok, what is your question again?? if you DO have s.a.d then xanax is a possible short term option, but in general zoloft or paxil..meds of that nature are given more freely. keep in mind that those take at least 2-3 weeks to begin to help.

maybe u should start with talking to a therapist or psychiatrist...good luck

maybe you need a higher dose of xanax. thats also not the only drug you can take. there is ativan, valium or klonpin. ativan is most similar to xanax.

You might want to ask a good doctor. In my experience most general practice doctors don't really know that much about the subject. I would ask a good psychiatrist.
