Xanax (Alprazolam) and back pain.
I have panic attacks quite frequently. I know because I have involuntary muscle spasms, rapid/slow heart beat, trouble breathing, and pain in my chest. When I was 13 I was prescribed Paxil for "chronic depression". I refused to take the medicine because I never thought anything was wrong with me.
Though panic attacks have been consistent since my early teens, I did not have them daily until my early 20's. When I was 16 years old I was hit by a car while on my bicycle. The car was going 40 m.p.h., and when I was taken to the hospital I could walk so I refused X-Ray's and just wanted to get home. With my fathers permission they released me. Suddenly when I got to about 18 years of age I started having back pain. I dealt with it by taking near the max amount of tylenol on a daily basis (2500 - 3500mg). Eventually the pain got worse. I had a panic attack the other day (really bad one), so my wife gave me one of her anxiety pills a 1mg Xanax. No more attack, no more back pain. Is this ok?
