I am having my uterus removed on Thursday and I ran out of my hydrocodone pills...?

I believe and confess that I am addicted to hydrocodone because now if I do not take them then I feel depressed and sad and nervous and a little bit of everything.
My OBGYN will not prescribe any more because he suspects that I am getting addicted to them.;
I also have depression problems every so often anyways and take Effexor daily. I have had a hectic week because my two boys have been really sick, one got sick with bronchitis and my other one with an awful earache. I have had very little sleep and just wish to like get home from work and just be with them because If I go straight to bed then I'll start feeling guilty of not spending time with them before my uterus removal and then I wont' be able to pick my little ones up.
Please advice on what I should do.

If you are feeling depressed, nervous and sad when you havent taken a hydrocodone pills, then you definitely are addicted to it and are experiencing the withdrawal symptoms associated with it. What you can probably do is to avoid hydrocodone altogether because your dependence on it may lead to more complicated problems. I understand that motherhood is always not easy to handle, especially with two kids. Why not take a leave from work or get someone to help babysit? Easing up on the stress that plagues you may help you recover more from the addiction on hydrocodone and make you more alert to spend time with your kids. Hope it was helpful to you.
