Why doesn't Xanax (bars) affext me?

When my friends and I try to take Xanax (four bars) to have some fun, why do my friends get messed up and feel drunk and I don't? I know it is not good to take medication that I am not prescribed to, and the risks involved.

I have taken over 8mg to try to get this feeling when most only have to take 4mg, and nothing. I am a skinny guy, 5'9 and 160lbs..

If anyone can shed some light I would appreciate it!

Be grateful you havent died of an overdose yet. Then find some new friends.

Are you kidding me??? I have a prescription for .25 mg, that's a quarter of ONE mg - those mellow me out when I'm buggin'. If I need to sleep like the dead I take two of them for a total of one half a milligram. You're taking EIGHT??? Regardless of the level of your "high", you need to know that it is extremely inadvisable to take that much. Xanax is powerful stuff and can cause some nasty permanent damage.
