How much alike are the Prescription Pain Killers SOMA and ULTRAM?

I don't know much about RX Drugs, but I was told that SOMA is good for the Pain I'm experiencing, but I'm on Ultram right now, and I was wondering what the difference in the drugs is and if it's worth it to ask my Doctor to switch.

well in our place we have

SOMA 90 PER 135, OVERNIGHT
TRAMADOL 90 per 130, OVERNIGHT
TRAMADOL 180 per 195, overnight
