How can I get my doctor to give me something like Valium?

I had suffered with anxiety issues for years, and I take 60mg of celexa per day. That has helped a lot, but my anxiety gets really bad at night. So bad that I cannot sleep because of it and the pain and tension i get in my jaw neck and shoulders. I have tried ativan and clonazepam, but they do not help as much as I need. I am afraid to out right ask my MD but I read it could really help me. How sould I go about this?

Try xanax & ambien. I bet you will sleep after that! I take xanax & lunesta, but to me, ambien is the better sleeping pill.

just tell him you are anxious and the meds you are on aren't working. sometimes you have to ask for what you want. doctors these days are very weary about prescribing such things. and for good reason. just be careful that crap is so addictive.
