Hydrocodone and passing out?

I took one 20mg of hydrocodone and then about 4-5 hours later, threw up and passed out. I went to the doctor and they said I had an inner ear infection. Was the throwing up and passing out because of the pill or was it just a coincidence?
how many milligrams would a normal, regular dose be?

I would suspect it was the hydrocodone. 20mg is a fair amount in the non-tolerant patient. Vomiting and nausea are a common side affect from narcotics. Syncope or near syncope would also not be unheard of.
